'Hunger' movie ticket giveaway
'Hunger', the winner of the Camera d'Or (best first feature) at Cannes Film Festival, starts at Cinema Paradiso on November 6th.
In May 1981 Bobby Sands was the first person to die on hunger strike in Maze prison near Belfast, Northern Ireland. After 217 days of protest and ten dead, the hunger strike was called off by the prisoners: 3 days later the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, announced a number of changes in prison policy. Over the next 2 years all the prisoners' demands were met.
