IT may be a long time coming, but it is no less exciting to announce that The Who are headed to Members Equity Stadium on Saturday April 4 for their first Perth show.
The Who are one of the most legendary musical acts in popular music, and are consistently labelled one of the greatest live bands ever. They have sold over 100 million albums and it is almost impossible to estimate their importance in rock history.
They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame in 1990, the UK Music Hall of Fame in 2005, received the first annual Freddie Mercury Lifetime Achievement Award in 2006, a Lifetime Achievement award from the British Phonographic Industry in 1988 and from the Grammy Foundation in 2001.
The live band will include Roger Daltrey, Pete Townshend, Simon Townshend (guitars), Zak Starkey (drums), Pino Palladino (bass) and John ‘Rabbit’ Bundrick (keys).
Special guest support act will be the Counting Crows, who have sold over 20 million albums. Tickets for this special concert go on sale on Wednesday December 3 through Ticketmaster.
