IT has been a big couple of months for Thornlie band Sun, Trees and No Walls.

Four male students from Thornlie Christian College, drawn together by a love of music-making, have been busy lately writing and rehearsing original songs for the City of Gosnells’ Gozzy Rock competition.

The combination of Liam Kennington, Trindale Fuller, Zach Caspersz and Luke Figredo  made it to the semi-finals of the statewide competition.

“Their energetic and captivating first public performance earned them praise from the judges and an encouragement award,” school community relations manager Justin Gunn said.

He said the band had now been invited to perform at a fundraising concert, Rock the Well, supporting international Christian rock band Safe Haven and local rockers Available at the Counter.

All profits will go towards funding the sinking of a well in Phukamani, Zimbabwe.

Rock the Well
When: Wednesday, April 3, 6pm onwards
Where: Thornlie Christian College Hall
