SHERLOCK’S Tavern in Alexander Heights is a pub, but it specialises in gourmet food rather than pub fare.

Head chef Jason Regan said the restaurant provides Wagyu steak, which is only served in a small handful of restaurants around Perth.

“It’s marble score of nine meat,” he said.

“I would like people to know that they can eat in a high quality restaurant in the northern suburbs.

“It’s value for money.”

Another gourmet meal on offer is the Sherlock’s scotch fillet and crayfish, served on baby potatoes and asparagus spears with hollandaise sauce.

If that does not get your mouth watering, patrons can delight in the duck steak with quail eggs.

The family-friendly restaurant also has a large children’s menu and for those keen on having a healthy meal, there are a variety of salads to choose from.

One unique salad is the Cajun and parmesan squid salad, served with cucumbers, aioli sauce and lemon. Diners can satisfy their hunger while enjoying the entertainment Sherlock’s has to offer.

Friday night is rock and roll night, with a five piece band on show. There is also live entertainment on Saturday nights.

On Sunday and Tuesday there is a quiz night and on Thursday there is karaoke. The venue also caters for functions of any size.
