SHELLEY artist Jana Vodesil-Baruffi is passionate about painting portraits of women who have left footprints in her heart.

Vodesil-Baruffi is in the midst of completing works for her upcoming exhibition, Permanent Impressions.

The exhibition aims to celebrate the achievements of West Australian women who have made significant contributions to the State.

During the past 18 months, Vodesil-Baruffi has worked on more than 50 portraits for her exhibition to be unveiled in late June.

The artist invited inductees from the WA Women’s Hall of Fame to sit as a muse for her |exhibition as part of the 100-year celebrations of International Women’s Day.

Vodesil-Baruffi said her exhibition captures the achievements of women who live ordinary lives but achieve extra ordinary things.

The art enthusiast has been involved in nine solo exhibitions, two of which were held in New York and Italy.

Permanent Impressions is planned to open in late June at the Metamorphosis Art Gallery in Willetton.

No date has been set.

She also holds workshops at the same venue.
