The Armadale Project

St Matthew’s Church, 108 Jull Street, built and consecrated 1904
(Visual diary entry 7th April)

This is a community based art project that will be housed in the old Armadale Post Office for the next four months.

I have spent several months so far surveying Armadale photographically as well as keeping a visual diary record. This next stage however, involves drawing, painting and video to explore and document the places and events of significance in the development of Armadale and its people.

Some of this work is already available on The Armadale Project website.  The site will continue to grow over the next few months and will be worth visiting on a regular basis.

The Post Office will be open to the public some time in August, I will confirm this at a later date.

NB: This Project has a group page in the Culture and Community category.

The web site is: http://thearmadaleproject.com.au/

Thanks Lorraine, I will have to keep my eyes open, it is a good site not only for your own project, but for community based activities full stop.
I like the picture by the way.
Cheers for now - i have to do at least a bit of work before I go home this afternoon.
see you later
