Reflect on the richer things

02/Jan/2013

Comments:

THE Christmas trees have been taken down, the CDs of carols packed away for another year and 2013 is upon us.

While the memory of 2012 is still fresh in our minds and our resolutions yet to be broken, it is a good time to reflect on what has been and hope and plan for what is to come.

2012 was a year full of tragedy, triumph, and everything in between- as every year has always been.

This coming year will contain its own challenges and trials, as well as opportunities and fresh prospects.

Before we tackle what is to come, let’s take a moment or two to consider what is truly important to us, to refocus on the things that bring lasting happiness rather than fleeting joy.

These things are our families, our friends, our communities.

Put another way, the things that make our lives richer are each other.
