Easter peace shattered

ON the Saturday night over the Easter weekend my peace was disturbed yet again, as has happened over many Easter weekends of the past, by a rock concert of some description that came from I know not where.

It lasted for some hours and for me was an intrusion on my privacy.

As a Christian priest I like to spend Easter in my way, usually peacefully and quietly without disturbing anybody else.

The so-called music was so loud that it drowned out any television entertainment that I might have chosen.

I read in this paper recently that such concerts were not to be held again in Bassendean. Whether this came from that suburb was hard to guess, but it certainly ruined my otherwise peaceful Easter.

Could the culprits please be brought to task, and allow me and many hundreds of other citizens the privilege of entertaining ourselves in our own quiet way, without a cacophony of sound drowning everything else out.

I agree wholeheartedly with you peaceplease, car noise is a nuicance and a problem that needs to be looked at. But it has nothing to do with concerts on the easter long weekend.

peace please

Dave, could you listen to them through ear phones please so that the rest of us can have some peace and quiet. If I had my way I would put volume controllers on all car stereos so I dont have to listen to everyone elses noise as they drive past and I would ban modified exhausts so I dont have to listen to that either.
