Lights needed

Comments:

I AGREE that Reid Highway is a complete debacle that needs some serious upgrades.

With the increasing population and new suburbs being developed traffic is completely out of control, especially during peak times.

Try living in Bennett Springs. The lack of traffic lights at the intersection of Lord Street and Reid Highway means that north-eastern corridor residents heading to Reid Highway travel down Marshall Road and use Beechboro and Altone roads to gain light-controlled access to the highway.

Often both roads are completely jammed and people discourteously queue through the roundabouts, making it virtually impossible for residents to get out of the suburb.

I have waited up to 15 minutes to access the roundabout on Altone Road, and then had had to practically push my way in.

That’s not good for morning tempers. A set of lights at Lord Street is urgently required.
