Perch not perfect

20/Mar/2012

Comments:

IT is lovely having underground power. The streets look so much nicer without the old wooden lamp post.

But the thing we miss (and the bird miss more) are the wires that they used to perch on.

We had counted as many as 30 or more parrots on the wires opposite our house at times, waiting for the turn on our bird bath.

Now we smile as we watch them trying to sit on the top of the new street lights. Only six or seven can get on at one time.

Sorry birds, so much for progress.
