WHISTLER’S Chocolate, the oldest confectionary company in the State, has opened its doors in the Swan Valley.

The WA family-owned and operated business has been running for 40 years and produces chocolate and honeycomb from its Belmont premises.

General manager Rena Toia said a new outlet – on Great Northern Highway, Middle Swan – offered a large retail space, lounge area for tastings, cafe, outdoor area and would be great for families.

“This will be the best destination,” she said.

“We just really want to see families celebrate together and enjoy our products.

“The idea of Whistler’s Pantry is to showcase WA businesses, so we have a wood fire baker on board who will sell bread and there are gelati ice creams and we will showcase fudge and macarons as well.”

Co-owner Rosanne Sargent said her husband – owner and chocolatier Ian Sergeant – designed all the chocolate products and created chocolate masterpieces every year for the Perth Royal Show.

“Ian has a design degree from university so he likes to design everything,” she said.

“Last year, he created a chocolate fairyland.”
