TWO local boxers are set to represent WA in Sydney in December.

Leeming brothers Shaun (18) and Luke McLeod (19) train five days a week at Fremantle PCYC in Hilton with trainer/coach Nick Srbinovski.

Srbinovski said the young men already had a string of achievements.

Shaun has won the state novice title, intermediate title, Golden Gloves (twice) and the State Open.

He was also a State Belt holder and was ranked third in Australia.

Srbinovski said Shaun took part in the World Junior Trials in Melbourne but lost on points in the semi-finals to a very experienced boxer.

Luke had won the state novice title, Golden Gloves (three times), State Open (three times) and the State Belt in the 64kg category.

Luke was the undefeated Junior National Champion in 60kg and this year had moved up to 64kg.

Both boys will represent WA at the coming nationals competition.
