Fever a 'dangerous' side

BY the end of last season, Coach Norma Plummer's prediction rang true, “A developing team in the first half of the season, extremely dangerous in the second”.

We knew we were heading in the right direction when we were giving title contenders a run for their money.

Come season 2013, we know we have to continue where we left off.

With the inclusion of a few new faces we have the ingredients to realistically aim for a top four finish.

Kate Beveridge and Lisa Millman will join our Captain Cath Cox and Caitlin Bassett in the goal circle.

After the retirement of Susan Furhmann, youngster Courtney Bruce will line up in the defence end.

We don't expect this season to be smooth sailing.

We still have a lot to learn and plenty of combinations to grow.

Every year, every team continues to improve.

Every year, players become stronger, faster and smarter.

I don't expect this year to be any different.

Catch our first home game of the season against Northern Mystics this Sunday at Challenge Stadium.

The Fever lost their first game 55-41 to the NSW Swifts.
