Look right for the big day

EVERY bride-to-be knows that a beautiful wedding dress is nothing without the right accessories.

While selecting a gown and accessories is usually an exciting time for a bride, choosing the right ones can be frustrating.

There are so many options available that narrowing down your options is often difficult.

Selecting what you want to wear on your wedding day can be made easier by taking various aspects of your special day into consideration.

Before deciding what kind of gown to wear, consider the intended formality of your ceremony and reception.

If you are having a white or black-tie wedding, a long, formal gown with a train will be most appropriate.

If you are having a casual or beach wedding, a short, simple dress will fit the formality.

Don’t over or under-dress for your wedding.

Accessories are an important part of your wedding day attire, but should be used in moderation.

Too many accessories can look tacky or overdone. Keep your accessories small and simple, and choose no more than two jewellery accessories.

For example, if you are wearing a necklace, only wear one bracelet.

As bridal season approaches, Diana Ferrari has introduced a range of shoes and accessories to complete any wedding day look.

Available from Bag & Sole, Subiaco; Marie Claire, Claremont and West Perth; Myer;

David Jones; Instyle Shoes and Accessories, Cottesloe; and Tredway Shoes, Mt Hawthorn.
