PAGSTA, the company that launched a range of mini-Harley lookalikes some years ago, has followed up with a couple of scooters.
The 50cc Wasp and 150cc Eagle both feature a quiet, enviro-friendly, four-stroke engine, alloy wheel, front disc brake and “twist-and-go” automatic CVT transmission. Spokesman Leigh Sisson said both were suitable as commuters and weekend fun machines.
Standard features on the Pagsta scooters include keyless start, an alarm and immobiliser, a lockable top box, a carry bag and helmet hooks and side and centre stands.
The 150cc Eagle has a mobile phone call alert signal on the dash to advise of an incoming call. The rider can then pull over to the side of the road and take the call.
The 50cc Wasp can be ridden on a car licence.
“The scooters come in black, blue and red and both defy the slide in the Australian dollar,” Sisson said.
“The Wasp is $1995 and the Eagle costs $2795.”
